BLOGGING: It's Tuesday, where are you?

Can you believe new reading challenges are starting up? It seems early to start signing up, but I guess we have to start now, so we can pick and chose which challenges to join for the new year. I am like a lot of people and looking to cut back a bit, but these new great ideas are suggested, like the Countdown Challenge and the Latin America Reading Challenge, and then there are the old favorites, like What's in a Name? or In the Pub '09 that make it hard to cut back. Stop with the fun reading challenges people!

I am in Georgia, my brother is getting out of jail soon, and I can't wait to get my driver's license in Drive Like Hell by Dallas Hudgens. I think I am living a pretty rough life in this coming of age story.

Where is reading taking you today? Leave a comment or write a post on your own blog.

I liked that one Bybee!

I am in medieval London investigating the murder of one of my clients (Veil of Lies by Jeri Westerson). I am also in Regency London yearning for my true love who is trying to push me away!(Seduce me at Sunrise by Lisa Kleypas).

I am about to be on the way to Australia with the First Fleet (The Lieutenant by Kate Grenville).

I just moved to Pennsylvania from Florida with my incorrigle dog (Marley).

I'm also in Florida with some corrupt jailed judges, while a run for presidency is being masterminded by the CIA (The Brethren by John Grisham).

For once I actually know where I am on a Tuesday. I'm in Rome! Reading When We Were Romans, which is pretty good!

I'm in Scotland, right smack dab in the middle of a shocking scandal! (Man and Wife by Wilkie Collins) Oh, to be in Scotland IRL would be so cool!

I'm in Portland, Oregon in 1894. I'm a seamstress working in a vaudeville theater making and taking care of the costumes. I'm also trying to figure out why one of the performers was murdered. There's a young newspaper reporter in town who is helping me investigate.

Murder at the Portland Variety is an interesting mix of historical fiction and cozy mystery.

Oh how that countdown challenge is tempting me! And I haven't heard of the Latin America Challenge (definitely going to have to look into that one!).

Well, for what's it's worth, as I haven't moved far, here's my post.

bybee - early today! It was so hard to remember that Mr Pip was set in the very recent past. Enjoy.

marg - Seduce me at sunrise sounds pretty steamy.

ctoan - I'm glad you got a new dog before you read the Marley book, it's supposed to be sad?

notjustlaura- I'll come by.

alea - yea Alea! I bought a pair a shoes in Rome. I'd love to go back, for real, not just in a book.

suey - I agree! I'd love to go to Scotland, or any where in the UK

guatami - I haven't read a good Sandra Brown mystery in a while.

suziq - that would make the perfect mix of book - historical and mystery. I used to like the Brother Cadfael mysteries for just that reason.

debi - katrina is hosting the Latin America challenge. http://katrinasreads.blogspot.com/ I should have linked her. Go see her.

bumbles - enjoy your time abroad and your cup of tea.

katrina - I won't worry that you won't find a book soon. I keep ordering books at the library when there are so many here in the house. Sometimes it is so hard to decide what book to read next. good luck.

kristi - I love Stephen King books and that is one I haven't read yet.

john - in your reading? That sounds like your actual travel plans. What book is set in Tuktayuktuk? You are the only person I know who could actually be there.

I am in two places Krypton (The Lasts Days of Krypton by Kevin J. Anderson) and I am in Germany (The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. I collected and made images to show what's going on in which book.

Raidergirl: Hah. While I've been to Winnipeg, I've yet to visit Tuk. It's To The Top Canada by Chris Robertson who rode his bike from the most southerly tip in Canada up to Tuk.
